An 8-week live online program with Dr Shona, using the wisdom of Chinese medicine and the psychology of how you relate — to yourself, and others. Your body is usually the first to notice when something's off, we teach you what it's trying to tell you.

Here's what we usually get asked
An eight-week live program that puts your body and mind in the same conversation. Most people have tried therapy or coaching that helped a little but didn't stick, because it only worked on one half of them. Inner Alchemy combines the wisdom of Chinese medicine with real psychological and nervous-system tools, so you understand what's kept you stuck — and have the tools to actually change it, not just manage it.
Anyone running on empty behind a life that looks fine from the outside. You might recognise it through your body (exhaustion, tension, symptoms that don't add up), through overwhelm (holding everything together with nothing left), or through feeling disconnected from who you actually are. All three are the same pattern showing up differently. No Chinese medicine knowledge needed, and you don't need it all figured out first.

Built as a spiral, not a straight line — it opens with safety and closes with trust. Water: safety. Wood: getting honest about who you are. Fire: being truly seen instead of performing fine. Earth: learning to receive, not just give. Metal: releasing what's in the way. It closes with an integration week and a final session on who you're becoming. Each week builds on the last, so by week eight you're living differently, not just managing differently.
A live 90-minute class with your group — not a video you watch alone — plus that week's workbook, released on the day rather than all at once (working ahead of where you're at can do more harm than good). You participate as much or as little as you like — ask questions, share, or simply listen; there's no pressure to speak up or "perform" in front of the group unless you want to. Between sessions, there's space to reflect, journal, and ask questions in our private Skool community.
Two private one-hour sessions with me, placed where they matter most. The first, early on, turns what you've named into your own plan for the eight weeks — your specific pattern, not a generic program. The second, at the end, helps you integrate what's shifted and decide what's next, including whether ongoing 1:1 support makes sense. You get my direct focus at the two points that count.
You're not doing this alone between classes — you'll have your own space inside our private Skool community, with ongoing prompts and homework to keep the work moving, and somewhere to ask questions and be witnessed by others doing the same work. Change made in isolation rarely sticks; change made inside a small, supported community does.
Yes — every week is live, not pre-recorded, and also recorded in case you miss one. But the live group is where most of the value lives — being seen, asking your real question, hearing someone voice what you've been feeling.
No. Everything's explained in plain language — the Five Elements are a lens for understanding yourself, not something to study first.
Most approaches work on your mindset or your body, rarely both. A psychologist is trained for the psychological side only — not to explain what's happening in your body. Inner Alchemy works on both together, combining a doctor's clinical understanding with real psychological and nervous-system tools. That combination is rare, and it's why this tends to land differently.
Neither, exactly — and both. I teach you how your body and mind actually work, so the pattern becomes visible. From there, the responsibility — and the tools — are yours. It's not about being fixed, or about changing the people around you. It's about understanding yourself clearly enough to take charge of what's next.
This is exactly the territory Inner Alchemy is built for — Chinese medicine treats the body and emotions as one story, so symptoms like fatigue or digestive changes are part of the work, not sidelined. (Not a replacement for medical care — it works alongside it.)
Roughly two to two and a half hours a week: the 90-minute live class plus your workbook and journaling. What you get out tracks with what you put in, but this is designed to fit into a full life, not add another impossible one.
You'll get the recording, so you never lose the teaching — though the live group is where most of the value lives, so it's worth prioritising when you can.
Small and intimate, deliberately — so there's real room for everyone to contribute, not just watch. Built to actually work, not to hold as many people as possible.
If you're ready to understand yourself instead of just managing your symptoms, and take responsibility for what changes next rather than waiting for others to change first, this is built for you. Answer the short questions below and book a 30-minute conversation with me.
Understand the Pattern
Your body and your emotions have been telling you what's going on the whole time — most people have just never had someone read both together. In your first one-on-one session with me, and through the Chinese medicine lens that runs through every week, you'll finally understand what's actually kept you stuck.
Shift It, Live
Understanding a pattern and changing it are two different things. Each week's live class and workbook build deliberately on the last — safety before vulnerability, structure before release — so the shift happens in real time, with real tools.
Help It Hold
Change made alone rarely lasts. Between sessions, you're held inside a small, private community, and by your closing one-on-one, you're not just managing differently. You're living differently.
I'm Dr Shona Ferrier — Doctor of Chinese Medicine, and the founder of Inner Alchemy. My approach blends ancient lineage with modern technique, tested on myself long before I ever offered it to a client. I don't just teach this. I practise it.
I trained in Worsley Classical Five-Element Acupuncture, then under Ann Cecil-Sterman, who received her own training directly from Jeffrey Yuen — an 88th-generation priest of the Jade Purity School, carrying knowledge passed teacher to student for close to 2,500 years. Then I trained again, in NLP and clinical hypnotherapy, so that depth had something modern and practical to work through.
Why Inner Alchemy Exists: I've been on this journey for twenty-seven years — and I built Inner Alchemy so my clients get direct access to everything that experience and knowledge has taught me.
Proven With Real People: Twenty years spent in clinical practice, working with real people through real symptoms and real change — not theory tested only in a classroom.
